WATCH FOR THESE NATIVE SPECIES

Bald Eagle
Bald Eagle - Found mostly by lakes or rivers. Chocolate brown in color and have a white head and tail feathers. Wingspan up to eight feet. Will feed on fish, waterfowl, small mammals, and carrion.
White-tailed Deer
White-tailed Deer

These animals use their distinctive white tail to signal other deer when they are in danger.

 

Black Bear
Black Bear

Found within the forests of Michigan, the black bear is a rare sight to see. Can weigh 100-400 pounds, and are about three feet tall when on all four feet.

 

River Otter
River Otter

Found in rivers, lakes, or swamps. Has a thick, water-repellent coat of fur. Usually brown in color. Can weigh up to 33lbs.
